Cornwall is a beautiful part of the country and we are passionate about this stunning and dramatic county. We assume you are too as you want to come and holiday here, but whoever we are, wherever we go and whatever we do, we have an impact on the environment.
As a company promoting the county as an area of outstanding beauty we soon realised that if we didn't start to think, do and be more green then our amazing Cornwall would soon not be an area of outstanding beauty and we would no longer be sustainable as a business or destination.
It became quite clear to us that the only way we could prevent this from happening was to 'Go Green' and to promote sustainable tourism to all - staff, owners, visitors and clients. In our own personal bid to do our bit for the environment we have joined the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS), a national campaign which aims to promote businesses which care for the environment.
We have changed the way our office runs, we Reduce, Re-use and Re-cycle and we make sure that all of our literature is printed from sustainable sources, but we know this isn't enough.
The question then came to us, if we can do this then maybe our visitors would too.
By making positive choices during your visit, you can help to look after Cornwall and this special area ensuring that it retains everything that is special about it for your next visit.
