The Sea
Grey Seals

One of the most breath-taking parts of a holiday in Cornwall is a chance sighting of our spectacular grey seals that can often be seen at various locations along the coastline. Take a walk along the headlands and keep your eyes peeled for these cute and curious creatures bobbing in the waves and basking on the rocks. If you do happen to spy one, make sure you give them their space and adorable as they are, never approach seals for a closer look. (This disturbs their daily patterns, and can cause create confusion to them when hunting or resting).
Compass Jellyfish

These pretty sea creatures arrive as early as May, usually stay until around September time. They can usually be seen rolling in on the surf, and if you take a walk around the headland, you can often spot them floating in the sea – their markings making them easy to identify. If you do come by one, make sure you don’t touch it as like most jellyfish, they sting!
